Quagga is a routing software suite, providing implementations of OSPFv2, OSPFv3, RIP v1 and v2, RIPv3 and BGPv4 for Unix platforms, particularly FreeBSD, Linux, Solaris and NetBSD. Quagga is a fork of GNU Zebra which was developed by Kunihiro Ishiguro. The Quagga tree aims to build a more involved community around Quagga than the current centralised model of GNU Zebra.

Optional, the debian patch may be used, but at the moment, only my patch is applied to work with netsnmp 5.2.1 (not supported by debian yet)
Note: the package does not compile yet with uClibc-0.9.27 and gcc-3.4.2!
It was tested on powerpc with gcc-3.3.3 and glibc-2.3.2.
discussed this with several other buildroot developers, and based on the very specific usage of this application, we feel that adding this would require alot of maintance that might go undone. several other new applications have been refused due to their specific end user nature. we appreciate your submission, hope you will continue to submit patches to make buildroot better.
