Summary 0001011: mke2fs 1.38 broken
Description Hello,
Using busybox 1.2.x+uClibc to build IPCop 1.5, the mke2fs tool always block at the same stage:
"Writing inode tables 16/x"
"Could not write 8 blocks in inode table starting at 524290"

It is Ok with small disk (x<16) and allways bad with big partition.

Compiling and installing the 1.39 mke2fstools solved the case (tested on two harddisk).
mke2fs(1.39) /dev/hda1 OK
busybox mke2fs(1.38) /dev/hda1 ERROR

Either it is a bug in 1.38 or it is in your 'integration' into busybox.
Additional Information Upgrade mke2fstools

Please consider updating mke2fs soon.
1.38 is really bugged
1.39 is ok,
1.40 should be released,

Franck

vda, i'd close this one as invalid..

Frank78,
busybox-1.2.x.y is outdated, 1.4.1 is current

This problem was IIRC solved in busybox-1.4 since we nuked the erroneously imported e2fsprogs there.

mke2fs is no longer part of busybox
